I am researching the descendants of James Taylor I (d. 1698, VA). We are 5th cousins. Our common ancestors are James Taylor IV & Ann Hubbard.
I put most of my research at ourfamtree.org. Here is a link to your parents:
There is a closed group of Taylor descendants on Facebook. Messages posted there can only be seen by members. If you would like to join the group just go to the site & send a request & I will add you to it:
If you have any questions just email me.
you have been on my mind again whirling around and lets walk or craft! would be great to connect with you.
I have finally found you. I left a message on your facebook page and I hope this will get to you. After so many years it is wonderful to see that you are living the dream that I had. I am not living the dream but instead have ended up in the South living in the historic town of Hillsborough, NC. Long story. I am hoping to convince you to come the our 50th reunion. Please contact me I so want to hear all about your life.
As I hear of the death of Bill Graham, my thoughts turn to my time at St. Albans and the fond memories of the friends I made there. The Chewnings were always so kind to me and my friendship with Tatsy, you and the rest of your family has left an indelible mark on my life for which I will always be grateful.
I send you and your family my very best wishes on the Christmas and may you be blessed in the New Year to come.
Oh Bill…I am heartbroken to hear of Billy’s death…and by his own hand…like his father…what demons he must have been struggling with and who knew…I wouldn’t have known if you hadn’t written…I am so grateful you did…and like you, there are so many good memories of you and Tatsy and Billy that swirl in my mind..I went and found a school picture I have of you and Tatsy and I just sat and looked at it and remembered…the memories and the tears came together…all I can say is that I hope Billy and Tatsy are back together again…how I miss Tatsy still…
Know that you are in my heart always and I wish you and your family joy and peace and hope and love in the year to come…thank you so much for being in touch…sending much love to you, Emily
So good to hear from you. As I was thinking of you, I googled Rocky Run Farm and found that it had been recently sold. I was surprised because I mistakenly thought the house had been torn down and replaced with new housing. There were a few pictures in the online RE listing – remodeled but still recognizable. I can still see the bassets sitting up next to my chair in the dining room begging for a dinner snack.
